SUSTAINABLE ENERGY PARTNERSHIPS AND ENERGY ACTION PLANS
Sustainable energy action plans and energy partnerships were created for the cities of Dublin, Hillerød, Malmö and Tallinn. These plans will valorize European energy policies and add value to the many individual local demonstration projects in these cities. The plans  focus on the long term transformation of the energy systems within these cities, including measurable targets on energy use and the share of energy from renewable resources.

The action plans draw upon experiences gained from a number of different projects that have been implemented in each of the participating cities. A number of European cities have implemented holistic projects in order to transform city districts to ecological, economical and social sustainability. These projects envelop a number of key areas such as renewable energy, energy efficient construction and refurbishment, urban regeneration and water conservation.

The sustainable energy action plans are adopted by high leveled decision-making bodies in the participating cities.
